Your files have
a place. With you.
Here’s what this website does today, and how account information is used by the Telsilo extension.
Pre-launch overview. Telsilo is preparing for public release. This website does not currently offer account registration or checkout. Seller contact details and the full launch privacy notice will be published before those services open.
This website
You can browse the site and download the sample image without signing in. The website’s code does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, email collection forms, or account tracking. If you choose a color theme or pause animations, those preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage so they stay consistent between visits. Its fonts and images are served with the site.
When the site is hosted on Cloudflare, Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information and request times, to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare’s own network and security features may also process data. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The extension and your downloads
The extension operates on Telegram Web A. It accesses media you can view there to provide download controls. Photos and videos are processed in your browser and downloaded to your computer; they are not uploaded to Telsilo’s licensing service.
Telegram still processes your use of its service. Your browser also handles downloaded files and any browser synchronization features you have enabled.
Accounts, access and usage
The current extension requires Telegram sign-in to associate your allowance and Premium access with an account. Its licensing service uses:
- Your Telegram user ID and username, when available, to identify your account.
- Account creation and access status, including Premium expiry and restrictions, to manage access.
- Session identifiers, device labels and session activity times to manage active sessions.
- Daily usage counts and dates to enforce the download allowance and service rate limits.
Extension settings, session information and records used to avoid recounting some repeat downloads are stored in browser extension storage. Some settings can use Chrome’s synchronized storage. Removing an extension does not automatically remove server-side account records.
Payments at launch
Paid purchases are not open. Lemon Squeezy is the intended payment provider; a purchase would be processed in its checkout, under its payment and privacy terms. The final launch notice will describe the billing information Telsilo receives and how it is used.
Questions and data requests
A monitored support channel will be published on our contact page before public account registration and paid purchases open. Data retention periods and the process for access or deletion requests will be specified in the launch notice.
